Knife Handling and Maintenance Training Provided to Gastronomy Students at BUBFA
The “Knife Handling and Maintenance” training, organized by the Gastronomy Club of Balıkesir University Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences (BUBFA), was held with strong student participation.
The training was delivered by a representative of Samur Knives, one of the leading brands in the knife industry, and was attended by numerous students as well as the faculty administration. The program provided comprehensive information on proper usage techniques, maintenance processes, and storage methods for knives, one of the most commonly used tools in kitchens.
Held in the Şehit Savcı Mehmet Selim Kiraz Conference Hall, the training focused on both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, allowing students to actively engage in the learning process. During the program, the company representative also presented various gifts to the students.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Oğuzhan İlban, Dean of Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences, who attended the training, emphasized the importance of such programs for students and stated that practice-oriented trainings would continue in the future. At the end of the program, Dean İlban presented a certificate of appreciation to the representative of Samur Knives in gratitude for their contribution.
